Rebels Cornhole Tournament Raises $2,000 for Catholic Charities

The Albany Rebels donated $2,000 to Catholic Charities of Albany this past week, the proceeds from the Rebels Cornhole Tournament held October 2 at the Ancient Order of Hibernians on Ontario Street.

The tournament featured 20 teams comprised of Rebels players and fans, AOH members and representatives from Catholic Charities of Albany.

Rebels Mikey Heiserman and Dustin Moore won the final and earned a free pizza from Orchard Tavern West each month for the next year.

"I am so thankful that our club was able to participate in such an amazing event," said Rebels vice chairperson Joe Bradley. "It's a great opportunity for our club to give back and help serve the people of our community. Catholic Charities has been a big part of my life and of the Irish community here in Albany. I am proud that we were able to partner with them for a great cause."

Special thanks to the Albany AOH for hosting the event and Orchard Tavern West for their grand prize donation!
