Match Preview: Rebels vs. Syracuse Gaels (7/17)
The Albany Rebels will host the Syracuse Gaels in their final New York Cup match of the season on Saturday at Plumeri Sports Complex. Throw in is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
The Rebels have only pride to play for as they’ve been eliminated from New York Cup contention.
Albany is looking to snap a three-game winless streak after a draw at Syracuse and two losses to Buffalo. In two of those three matches, Albany has led into the second halves before giving way.
“Despite the results, our play has improved over the last few matches,” said goalkeeper Mark Adam. “It’s time for us to put in a full 60-minute effort. If we do that, we’ll be in good shape.”
