Albany Rebels GAA Youth Program

Mol an Óige agus tiocfaidh sí

(Praise the young and they will flourish)

The goal of the Albany Rebels GAA Youth Program is to engage boys and girls in the action-packed and fun-filled experience of the traditional Gaelic sports that have captured the hearts of youth, families, and people of all ages for generations, in Ireland and around the world.

More than just playing a team sport, GAA organizes youth into dynamic clubs that bring youth and families together to develop friendships, build social ties to the community, and celebrate the thrill of Gaelic football, hurling, and camogie.

Youth engage in healthy competition to bring out the best of each player while increasing physical and mental health and developing strong friendships.

By joining the youth program, your children won’t just become athletes; they’ll be part of a regional and intergenerational GAA club community, connected to the global Gaelic Athletic Association network.

Whether your child is stepping onto the pitch for the first time or looking to sharpen their skills, this is a chance to be part of something special - a growing community rooted in tradition, teamwork, and camaraderie.

Albany Rebels GAA Youth Program, now in its second year, offers an annual six-week summer Peil Camp, with GAA-certified coaches working with youth to learn age-appropriate basic skills, rules of the games, effective teamwork, use of sport gear and safety promotion, and playing modified games of hurling and Gaelic football.

Once enough area youth have registered and participated in Peil Camp activities, the future second phase of our youth program will be to form one or more competitive teams.  GAA youth teams play one another locally and have opportunities to play other youth teams in the region and participate in regional tournaments.
