Match Preview: Rebels vs. Dutchess County (9/19)
The Albany Rebels are searching for a win in their final match of the season on Sunday when they host the Dutchess County Griffins at Plumeri Sports Complex in Albany. Throw in is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
The Rebels’ last victory came in their season opener against Dutchess County, 4-8 (20 points) to 0-7 (7 points). Since that time, the Rebels have been winless with a draw and three losses.
"We're very excited to host Dutchess County after playing away for our season opener,” said Rebels coach Ryan Moloney. “Hopefully this home and away fixture can continue for years to come, and we can get back in the win column after a tough New York Cup campaign.”
Although the Rebels have continued training through the summer, their last match was played two months ago, a disappointing loss to league rival Syracuse, who eventually went on to win the New York Cup.
Admission is free for the match. The Rebels will host the Griffins for a postgame party at the Irish Hall on Ontario Street.
