The Albany Rebels will try and continue their early season success as they travel north of the border for the annual Montreal Tournament. The Rebels won the Junior Division of the tournament in 2017, but finished third in their group last season before winning a consolation match against the home club Montreal Shamrocks.
The Rebels are bringing a talented team with them, highlighted by the likes of veterans Cillian Flavin, Tim Gerrish and Mike Lee, and second-year man Chris Poggi, who scored four goals and two points in the season opener.
Albany will play preliminary round matches against Montreal (2:42 p.m.) and Calgary (3:30 p.m.) before seeding for the knockout stage.
If the Rebels place 1st or 2nd in their group, they advance to the semifinals. If they place 3rd, they will face the other group's 3rd place team in a consolation match.
