The Albany Rebels will need an outstanding team performance on Saturday when they travel to play Hartford in the second leg of the Greenwood Cup. Albany must win by more than 11 points to take the home-and-home competition after a disappointing season opening loss on April 29.
The Rebels had carried a one-point lead into halftime of that match, but surrendered three second half goals to help create a lopsided final score of 4-10 (22 points) to 1-8 (11 points).
The margin is not insurmountable, though. Albany only has to look back to last season when it won two matches by more than 11 points - a 5-5 (20 points) to 0-3 (3 points) win against Montreal in the Montreal Tournament on May 20 and a 3-19 (28 points) to 0-11 (11 points) win against Buffalo on June 17.
